Who’s the enemy?
Posted: January 18, 2011 Filed under: Disturbing, Fear, fight, God, harm, Police, Resolve, Safety 2 Comments »In one of my last posts I mentioned a rise in the line of duty deaths and the possible reason for that rise. I have never been able to comprehend the mindset of these evil people, even before I became a Law Enforcement supporter, so now I am at a loss to even begin to grasp how some can post on their blog their intent to harm officers if those officers carry out the duties they swore an oath to obey.
What follows are my thoughts, on the Constitution, my rights as a citizen of this country, as a Christian, and of my dear friends who wear the uniform of an officer.
It is completely unacceptable and evil to think of killing a police officer.
Can any sane person think of any reason to take the life of an officer?
I can’t.
I’m thankful for the Constitution of our great country. I’m thankful for my rights. I think the Constitution is one of the most important documents ever written. I can’t imagine life without it. I wouldn’t want to live in this country without this great document protecting my rights.
Remember the Preamble to the Constitution? It uses words like; establish justice, insure domestic tranquility…promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America. This sounds as though the welfare and tranquility of the people were of great importance to the people who wrote it. The Constitution is based on these principles of promoting liberty and general welfare (which necessarily implies life). How can the Constitution be used to justify killing innocent citizens?
A few crazy, non-sane people believe there may come a time when they would have to kill to keep their constitutional rights because they have convinced themselves there’s a conspiracy afoot. In the past 200+ years, no one has turned this country into a socialist one. You would think if it were that important someone would have thought of a good way to do it by now.
The country is still run much the way it was 200+ years ago, we still have a congress that meets, we still have public debates, and we still have elections where we cast our votes.
Who is the enemy?
Since the enemy is not our Constitution, it’s not a political party run amok, it’s not political debates, it’s not our election process, who then is the enemy?
Maybe someone who contemplates killing police officers to protect the Constitution can clarify that for the rest of us sane, peaceful people.
Like? No, it’s called love.
I like many of the officers I’ve met in my 8 years as a supporter. A few are very dear to me and some I’ve come to love. They are special people to me. They are not our enemy. In fact, they have been a friend to many of us in times when we needed someone. Like? I like them, sure. But I love the men and women who are willing to give more than most can imagine. As is found in the Bible, love does not seek its own. As a christian, I don’t even consider my rights any time I have contact with an officer. They are not more important than the person in uniform. That officer’s needs are above my own, always. That’s love.
Keep the most important oath.
What would cause someone who takes one of the greatest oaths and abandon it for another oath based on something that, in all likelihood, will never happen. We have enough evil brazen enough to kill a police officer, we don’t need more.
Our Resolve.
Finally, let us remember our resolve and support of Law Enforcement.
“It is the responsibility of each of us to hear their cries, witness their tears, share their grief, but perhaps more importantly, we must realize that these losses suffered are worthy of our closest scrutinies and undivided attentions….The sacrifices of our honored dead should sound alarms throughout our society, and we as a people should take the offense of the killing of our protectors with the same indignation felt by the closest relation to these officers. They have displayed for us the greatest of all loves, and deserve that we display to them the highest of all honors; our resolve.” ( by Countybear at Officerresource.com; used with permission.)
Our prayers are not only for those who rule over us in government but especially for those who protect us.
Disturbing news from 2010
Posted: January 6, 2011 Filed under: Disturbing, Officer down 2 Comments »There was a rise in Law Enforcement fatalities in the year 2010.
A total of 160 federal, state and local law enforcement officers died in the line of duty during the past 12 months, according to preliminary data compiled by the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF).
http://www.nleomf.org/newsroom/news-releases/alarming-rise-in-2010-law.html
Of the 160 Officers lost that year, 60 officers were shot dead by criminals who are becoming more brazen in their killing of our police officers. Those who give their lives to protect us need our prayers.
This may be what is contributing to this disturbing trend…
A new breed of ”cold-blooded, brazen criminal” is partly to blame for a sharp rise in the number of deaths of American police on the beat, with 60 officers shot dead this year.

Update on Washington State Trooper incident

Injured Trooper taunted by cowards
Posted: August 14, 2010 Filed under: Disturbing, Police Leave a comment »A Washington State Trooper was in pursuit of two motorcyclists when he lost control of his squad car and rolled five times ending up in a ditch.
http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/theblotter/2012590346_state_patrol_injured_trooper_t.html
Washington State Trooper Salyer “later told investigators that as he was struggling to get out, at least two of the motorcycle riders pulled up to within 30 feet of his car, got off their motorcycles and begin taunting him by clapping and laughing. They then rode off as other motorists began pulling up to the scene.”
I can’t wait to hear these two cowards have been caught.
I hope Trooper Salyer recovers quickly from his injuries.
Be safe out there.
Think good thoughts…less crime that way
Posted: July 6, 2010 Filed under: bad decisions, Disturbing, Dumb people, Ignorance | Tags: anarchists, Crime Leave a comment »A preacher friend of mine if fond of saying (with a little sarcasm since he doesn’t believe this), “If we all think good, do good…everything, everyone around us will be good.”
Well it doesn’t work that way. We can think all the good, happy thoughts we want but people are still going to be evil. I’m all for having a positive influence on those around us but sometimes that’s just not possible. That’s not reality.
I came across a comment made by someone (who claims to have anarchist leanings) regarding the role of police officers in communities. They seem to be under the impression that we need PEACE officers and not police officers. I guess they think if officers would respond to crime in a “peaceful manner” we will have less crime and we’ll all get along and everything will be wonderful.
That might work where I live. I mean, we don’t have any crime like…people selling drugs, people firing weapons, murders, rape, child molestation, wife-beating and meth labs. No one here with a police record flees the police. No one tries to run down innocent civilians. There’s no hit and run accidents. No one let’s their child drive for them because they’re too drunk. No one threatens their mother with a knife. Nope, we all get along.
I don’t know what reality this person lives in…or what he smoked too much of, but even here in Mayberry, USA, folks need a little more force applied to them in certain situations. I have to wonder if the “happy-thought guy” were to have a gun pointed at him, after he had been beaten, would want the PEACE officers to arrive with only happy thoughts and with no intent on using any of the tools on their belt to defend him?
Is it that they smoked too many drugs, got dropped when they were babies, or they were raised by hippies that makes them this out of touch with reality?
A death penalty suitable for other times
Posted: June 26, 2010 Filed under: Disturbing, Justice, Safety | Tags: Death penalty, Death penalty for cop-killers, Justice Leave a comment »If a man walks into a restaurant and starts randomly shooting people, most folks can understand the need to stop him with deadly force. Yet, these same people cannot understand the need to put murderers to death who kill police officers.
How is this death penalty suitable for one situation but not for another?
If it was right to put him to death in one instance then is it not right in the other instance? What is different? In both cases, multiple people were killed, the threat still remains, and it is fitting to bring about justice.
Am I missing something here?
If you believe murderers of police officers need to be put to death check out this site…

Officer asked to leave coffee shop

Officer asked to leave Oregon coffee shop
The Red & Black Cafe is no place for a man in blue.
Police Officer James Crooker was asked to leave the vegan coffee shop in Portland, Ore., last month, a discriminatory move but not altogether uncommon at the java joint, a detective told FoxNews.com.
Here is a video and another article about the incident. Portland officer shown the door at anarchist cafe.
The manager says he doesn’t feel safe having this officer (a former Marine who served in Iraq) at his business. The police “prey” on people, according to the nut. Really? What do the criminals in the area do? Hold hands with their victims and pray with them? Unbelievable! Who will the manager call when he’s robbed?
According to the video, a woman and her daughter were trying to thank the officer when the manager came up to them and interrupted their conversation and at that point told the officer to leave. I’d say this manager has more issues than he knows.
On the cafe’s website their policy is to “strive to provide a community space that is safe and welcoming to all.” I have to wonder, now does this “policy” also include welcoming robbers, rapists, murderers? After all they wouldn’t want anyone to feel unwelcome.
“I never expected a police officer to come into the space,” he said. “If it happened again, I wouldn’t serve him.” (from oregonlive.com) So in other words, this officer showed more love to you, a complete stranger, than all your “peace-love-hippy-nonsense-bologny” could come up with. You, sir, do not know the meaning of the words love, honor, integrity, kindness and decency. And you never will.
Stupidity knows no bounds. Or is it….you can’t fix stupid.
Targeting officers…a correction
Posted: April 6, 2010 Filed under: Disturbing, Police, Safety Leave a comment »Correction: I need to make a correction on this story’s update found below….while members of a biker gang were arrested they did not have anything to do with targeting these officers. Those responsible have not been found as of yet. For the latest information, click here.
This disturbing article came to my attention from Officerresource.com California officers from a gang task force are being targeted by criminals setting booby traps. Thankfully, there were no injuries or deaths. They can’t catch the scum soon enough.
I don’t know what makes these awful-excuse-for-human-beings think that by targeting officers that it’s going to make Law Enforcement give up the fight. Law Enforcement never rests and never gives up. I’m sure this will make the task force officers resolve to catch vermin like this that much stronger.
And when they do catch those responsible, I hope the punishment is quite severe and long lasting.
Be safe out there.
Update: Biker gang members arrested. An update is found here.
