Save money…ditch the lawyer

I’m a big girl. I can figure it out for myself. My children, young as they are, can also figure it out. So no, we do not want nor do we need a lawyer.
Spend the money on the other grandchildren who have criminal records or engage in suspicious behavior and hang around the criminal-type. I raised my children better than that. I raised them to respect authority and mind their manners. I raised them with morals and ethics. I raised them to believe that we obtain things in an honorable manner. Other people’s property was not put on this earth for us to destroy because it amuses us.
And we don’t fear the police. We enjoy talking to them whenever we have the chance. I raised my children to believe that talking with a police officer is a good thing and that seeing the police out on the roads means they are looking out for our safety.
I often wonder, why on earth would we need a lawyer? Well, keep your lawyer. Save your money for fees, fines and court costs.
We’ll spend our money on K-9′s and donation to police-related causes. Money that is well spent.
Disclaimer: I apologize if I’ve offended any lawyers or people married to lawyers. Lawyers serve a purpose. I’m just opposed to someone perpetuating a fear of the police by insisting that the only way to speak to the police is with a lawyer present. Such is the case with the in-laws and it grates on my nerves at times.
