Ignoring segments of Law Enforcement

That they are not an essential part of what we’ve come to appreciate about Law Enforcement even though they had to go through the same application process and same training (the exception being K-9′s of course).
Young or old, male or female, good-looking or not-so-good-looking, all officers deserve that same support we supporters claim we have. Does it matter what they look like? Not even the so-called, “good-looking” officers look good all the time. Some are angry, some are depressed and some even become injured and lose those “good looks.” Shall we stop supporting them because they no longer look good? If that’s what we call support we have bigger problems than we know. If we claim to be supporters, we had better figure out what that means.
While it’s far more preferred to being anti-Law Enforcement, still, this type of interest has no root to hold it in place. As soon as something negative comes up, these types, who are only around for the good times and fail to offer any substantial support, will be the first to leave when the going gets tough.
Supporting Law Enforcement is not always fun. Officers cry, get angry, get hurt (or worse), have different views than we do. People may not like us or want to talk to us because we support the police. Sometimes we will be at odds with friends over a ticket. Support is not always fun, but we did not sign on because we wanted to gain something for ourselves.
Support should be for all of Law Enforcement and during the times when things are good and not so good. They deserve nothing less.
Ignoring segments of Law Enforcement helps no one.
